New Aircraft Acquisition
The idea of using the services of an acquisition agent is clearly not a new concept. The use of a buyer's agent has existed in the commercial and residential
real estate industry for many years and is now commonplace.
Similarly, buyer's of corporate aircraft, with increasing frequency, engage the services of an acquisition agent to assist in the acquisition of an aircraft.
The benefits of using an acquisition agent can vary widely, depending upon the scope of services provided by the broker. At the very least, the net effect to
the buyer should be a savings of their time, money and the ability to make the most informed decision possible.
With the selection of an established, professional broker, the buyer will more than realize the benefits of using a broker vis-a-vis the money spent for the
services provided.
Avpro has extensive experience in the negotiation of new aircraft acquisition with all the leading manufacturers. Avpro has acquired 31 new aircraft for
clients from the following manufacturers:
- Cessna
- Gulfstream
- Raytheon
- Falcon
- Learjet
- Bombardier
Although price is an important component in negotiating a new aircraft acquisition, of equal importance are many other areas where the transaction can be improved
for the buyer such as; deposit structure, training, warranties, maintenance, spare parts and ground support equipment and contractual issues. Each manufacturer is
different, and our previous experience with them all allow us to know in what areas we are able to improve the transaction for our client depending upon the
manufacturer and the circumstances.

Purchase Price
Avpro invests a large amount of time and money into market research. Recent comparable sales establish new trading levels. Staying in contact with aircraft buyers and monitoring current market conditions is essential in every purchase decision, whether it is a new or used aircraft, something that Avpro does on a daily basis. This knowledge allows Avpro to know the best price possible and our experience in factory negotiations for new aircraft give us the means to obtain these prices for our clients.
Deposit Structure
From past experience, we have found the deposit structure can be a strong negotiation point in the buyer's favor and there is opportunity to improve the terms.
Contractual Issues
Avpro will protect your company from any unfair or one-sided contractual issues.
All of these factors show the importance of having an experienced aircraft acquisition firm working exclusively on your side.
Upon identification of the most desirable aircraft, we will:
- Coordinate all aspects of the demonstration flights of the aircraft.
- Provide draft Letters of Intent and Purchase and Sale Agreements and assist and participate in the negotiation of all contractual matters.
- Assist client in determining the appropriate specifications for the aircraft including: avionics, optional equipment and paint and interior furnishings.
- Assist and provide all relevant information relating to the most attractive structure for the transaction, including the treatment of the transaction as a tax-deferred "like-kind exchange", if necessary.
- Provide a reference list of the leading financial and/or leasing companies to assist with the funding of the transaction if needed.
- Organize all phases of the closing, including documentation such as Bills of Sale, Aircraft Registration, title, transfers, etc. to ensure that the transaction is completed as smoothly as possible.
